The old town center is very animated and still preserves the look of a village with its commercial streets around the church. In the summertime, the market proposes every morning a wide range of products, food but also clothing, crafts, accessories, equipment for the house, etc...

On the cliff of Vallières, the headlight made out of stone built in 1900 on a headland which protects the small port, is a familiar silhouette in Saint-Georges. The path around the headlight allows pretty sights on the point of Suzac, the point of Suzac, the headlight of Cordouan. On the point of Suzac which surrounds the southern end of the beach, the path which goes along the offers a very pleasant way to Meschers.
